GoAir Cancels Flights Across Cities
Non-availability of aircraft and lack of adequate cockpit crew has forced budget airline GoAir to cancel flights across cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Patna. The budget carrier reported technical glitches mostly in it's A320 Neo planes, that resulted in non-availability of airplanes for operations.
GoAir reportedly cancelled flights from Mumbai, Goa, Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Patna, Indore, Kolkata and Bengaluru. GoAir however stated that the cancellation of flights and disruption was on account of the protests against the recently passed CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) hand in hand with the duty norms of the operating crew.
The budget carrier stated that a combination of factors - poor visibility, inclement weather and the anti-CAA protests had combined to disrupt multiple flights across GoAir's network. The abrupt cancellation of flights had caused a lot of inconvenience to the passengers.
