2017 saw an increase of more than 39 per cent in recruiters visiting campuses of ISB (India Business School). The campus placement this year saw participation by over 400 domestic and global employers, who made 1,113 offers to PGP Class 2017 students. The average salary of these students is around Rs.22 lakh.
The ISB is a global business school, which has campuses in Mohali and Hyderabad. The regular recruiters this year at ISB placements included Microsoft, Amazon, Citibank, Hindustan Unilever and Cognizant. Other regular participants included BCG, Parthenon, AT Kearney, McKinsey, Siemens and Novartis.
Among the new participants in ISB placements this year were Mindtree Consulting, Reliance Jio, P&G, Havells, Revigo, Bain & Co, Lending Cart,Roland Berger and L'Oreal, among others.
Consulting, IT and ITes( IT-enabling) sectors are still among the larger recruiters. The consulting, IT and ITes sectors constituted 20 and 21 per cent of the total offers, followed by banking, financial services and insurance. Healthcare and pharma followed.
The ISB also reported a visible increase in leadership roles.It stated that more than 70 offers were made to ISB students by corporates that included Axis Bank, Citibank, Philips India, Tech Mahindra, MAX, Aditya Birla Group, and Genpact.
The global recruiters offered senior management positions across places including Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Abu Dhabi, Japan and Singapore. International companies that recruited students from ISB for the first time were Apple, Cargill, Coty Inc, Baycurrent, Credit Access Asia and Landmark Group.
ISB is the youngest ever school to consistently rank among the top global MBA programmes.
