The environment is undergoing constant changes, and we are able to see what it has wrought. The natural disasters that we face today are all a result of the consistent damage to the environment, which is deeply connected to our livelihoods and lifestyles. The different types of weather patterns, global warming and cooling periods, are a chain of incidents over the years, that have caused irrepairable damage to the eco- system. The fact that our planet is warming up, and the numerous challenges we face today, is an indication of the drastic changes in the landscape across the world.
World Environment Day is celebrated around the world on June 5th every year. People celebrate this day to create awareness and reinstate their belief in protecting Nature, which is life-giving and sustains the earth.
Since 1973, the world has been celebrating World Environment Day across all countries, to create and raise global awareness about the uniqueness of nature, and the importance of a healthy, green environment. It is to make known that every individual, government and organisation is responsible for keeping the surroundings clean.
